The Breath of Life

The Breath of Life reimagines the formation of Adam through the human miracle of birth. It reflects on the body being formed in darkness, the lungs prepared for breath, and the moment life enters the vessel.

The Clearest Conduit
When Truth Passes Through a Clear Lens

A short visual reflection on truth, love, and the vessel that carries them. This companion explores how a clear lens makes truth easier to receive, and how Jesus reveals the clearest conduit of the Father.

The Empty Chair
When Love Remains After the Vessel Is Gone

The Empty Chair is a reflection on grief from the survivor’s perspective. It asks what happens when the vessel is gone, the chair is empty, and love must learn how to continue in a new form.

When Static Becomes Signal
When the Word Gives Pattern to Form

When Static Becomes Signal is a visual reflection on creation as possibility becoming pattern. It imagines the Word as the ordering signal through which static becomes coherence, pattern becomes form, and creation continues to unfold.

A record of exploration
For thousands of years, humanity has carried these stories forward.
Creation.
The garden.
Cain and Abel.
The flood.
Babel.
Abraham.
Joseph.
Jesus.
The end of the world.
Generations received them, preserved them, preached them, argued over them, feared them, trusted them, and built entire civilizations around what they believed the stories meant.
But an ancient story does not stop being alive simply because an interpretation becomes familiar.
These writings return to the stories themselves.
Not to erase the meanings we inherited.
Not to replace faith with another certainty.
But to look again.
Through the human body.
Through consciousness.
Through psychology and science.
Through suffering.
Through history.
Through the strange patterns that repeat across people, civilizations, nature, and time.
And through the possibility that sacred stories were never meant to become walls around human imagination.
Perhaps they were doors.
Stories Beneath the Story is a record of that exploration.
A marker of a moment in history when humanity possessed more knowledge of the physical world than any generation before it—and still found itself returning to the oldest stories it had ever told.
What have we accepted?
What have we misunderstood?
What truths have survived beneath the language used to contain them?
And what becomes possible when we stop demanding that an ancient story give us only one meaning?
These works do not ask the reader to abandon what came before.
They ask the reader to go farther.
Past inherited certainty.
Past the boundary between ancient wisdom and modern discovery.
Past the assumption that faith and curiosity must oppose one another.
Into the place where meaning remains unfinished.
Where creation is still unfolding.
Where the story beneath the story opens into another story still.
And beyond that—
eternal creativity.
